PRP – Rich Plasma Therapy (Vampire Face Lift)
Everyone knows that nothing can stop the passage of time, whether we like it or not. It is normal for wrinkles to appear over the years as part of the natural process of ageing. With the passing of years, the structure of the skin loses elasticity and becomes less flexible. So as life expectancy continues to increase, so makes the demand to maintain a youthful attitude and a youthful appearance.
Density Platelet Gel (Platelet Rich Plasma) works to help you achieve advanced skin rejuvenation and long-lasting results.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is a revolution in modern aesthetic medicine. It is a technique that utilises the patient’s own growth factors to regenerate aged and damaged skin. The growth factors contained in platelets can stimulate different mechanisms to produce collagen and improve the quality of the existing collagen.
Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment can:
- Reduce expression lines and wrinkles.
- Reduce stretch marks and atrophic scars.
- Increase skin hydration & radiance.
- Regenerate damaged skin & stimulates cells growth.
- Improve collagen levels and skin firmness.
- Improve skin function.
PRP treatment comes highly recommended and has been scientifically proven to produce long-lasting, radiant results.
How Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) works:
PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma therapy uses a simple and practically painless technique. First, a blood sample is taken and placed in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the platelets. The platelets are then injected into the dermis or subcutaneous tissue.
This method utilises a process called ‘autologous bio stimulation’, in which growth factors from your own blood are used to stimulate the regeneration of your skin, effectively slowing down the ageing process. The growth factors are contained within the platelets. When injected into the dermis, use bio-stimulation to improve the skin’s condition through repair and regeneration, restoring youthfulness whilst reducing the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles.
This technique has revolutionised anti-ageing treatments in the modern aesthetic medicine industry.
It is a new and exciting concept that produces fantastic, long-lasting results, allowing us to fight ageing signs actively.
Is PRP treatment safe?
Yes. It is a very safe procedure, as the blood used in the treatment is your own, which eliminates the concerns of disease transmission and minimises the possibility of side effects. The treatment will be carried out by a medical aesthetic nurse, who is highly qualified and experienced.
PRP has been used for a decade in general medicine, sports medicine, plastic surgery, dentistry and trichology. The technique is simply making the logical transition to the aesthetic medicine industry.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend a course of treatments in order to achieve the best results. The number of treatments required will differ from person to person, depending on exactly what they hope to achieve. Usually, we recommend 3 treatments with one maintenance treatment every 6-12 months.
How often should I have the treatments?
We suggest having one treatment every 4-6 weeks, depending on the condition of your skin.
How quickly will I see results?
The result is partially visible from the first treatment; however, it’s become more apparent after 3-4 weeks, when regeneration occurs. Best results are usually seen around 12 months following the first treatment.
Are there any side effects?
You might experience some redness and mild bruising on the skin around the injection sites for approximately 5-7 days after the treatment. You may also experience some swelling about 24 hours after the treatment. However, this completely normal and all side effects will fade over a couple of days.
Is PRP treatment right for me?
There are a number of factors to be considered when deciding whether to have PRP treatment. There will be a small amount of discomfort and swelling/ bruising for 5-7 days after the treatment. However, if you wish to see fantastic results on your skin and fight the signs of ageing, then PRP treatment might be right for you.
We invite you to a free consultation at the clinic with one of our aesthetic experts. During this consultation, we will explain your options and the procedure, and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have to help you decide whether PRP treatment is right for you.
