How does Advanced Electrolysis work?
Prior to this the skin is cleansed with an antiseptic solution. Each treatment uses a new sterile disposable needle. The needle is inserted along the line of the blemish at which point a hot sensation will be felt, similar to a pin prick. This is the current passing into your skin.
This will coagulate the capillaries in the area and cause a gradual reduction in the appearance of the blemish. Depending on the size and type of blemish, it may disappear after the first treatment or it may require 3 or 4.
We are also able to use advanced electrolysis on certain types of mole and hair in moles. However, in order to treat any mole, we require a signed document from a doctor confirming that it is safe to proceed. Moles have a very strong blood supply for normally require a course of treatments as opposed to one single treatment.
Is Advanced Electrolysis treatment safe?
Yes. We only treat blemishes that are completely safe to remove. Advanced Electrolysis is a widely used and highly trusted method of blemish removal and all our skin experts are highly qualified and experienced in a variety of skin treatments.
Does it hurt?
Advanced Eletrolysis does create a certain level of discomfort. This discomfort varies from person to person, with some saying it did hurt whilst others saying they simply felt a hot sensation.
Will the blemish return?
No, the blemish will not return. If the blemish occurred because of a skin condition that is still present, then new blemishes may appear on the skin.
Are there any side effects after Electrolysis skin blemishes removal ?
Immediately after the treatment the area may be red, possibly swollen and warm, and a scab may form. This will heal over the course of about a week. We encourage a strict aftercare process in order to look after the treated area and ensure it heals properly. The scab should not be touched, but left to fall off in its own time.
Can moles be removed with Advanced Electrolysis?
Yes. Some moles can be removed, but only once they have been examined by a doctor and you have a signed document stating that it is safe to proceed.
